(Junior) QA Engineer

Your scope of responsibility

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in manual software testing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and write fluently in English.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of project requirements and to investigate, prioritize, and resolve issues.
  • Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications.
  • Execute manual test cases to identify software defects and ensure product quality.
  • Conduct regression testing to validate software changes and enhancements.
  • Perform exploratory testing to uncover usability issues and edge cases.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process.
  • Document test results and clearly communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.

Your resources

  • A strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test scripts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Linear) and collaboration tools (e.g., Miro, Vimeo, Nuclino).

Preferred Qualifications (a plus, but not required):

  • Experience with automated testing tools or frameworks, such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or Cypress.
  • Basic programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript, with a willingness to learn automation scripting.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test reporting tools like Grafana, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
